In his letter No. 108/39 dated 2 February 1939 to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine reported the German naval attaché in Italy that on 15 January the Italian M.A.S. 212 (motor torpedo boat) of the M.A.S. Flotilla at Leros was stricken from the navy list.
