Laid down by United Shipyards Incorporated, Staten Island, New York, USA on 26 June 1934, launched on 11 December 1935, commissioned on 25 November 1936, decommissioned on 14 December 1945, stricken on 28 January 1947 and sold on 17 July 1947.
