Australia-flagged, homeport Fleet Base East, Sydney, MMSI 50368098 and call sign VKLD. Laid down by Amercon, Williamstown (Tenix Defence) on 26 July 1997, launched on 23 May 1998 and commisioned on 31 March 2001. Part of Anzac-class using a modified German Blohm&Voss MEKO 200 design preceded by River-class destroyer escort and succeeded by Hunter- and the new FFM-class (On 5 August 2025 was announced that Australia decided to buy 11 frigates of the Japanese Mogami-class).
