Laid down as the Victory ship type VC2-S-AP2 Wooster Victory by Shipbuilding Corporation at Los Angeles, California, USA. Later converted into the cargo-passenger ship Castel Verde of the Soc. Italiana Transporti Marittimi S.p.A., Rome, Italy (Sitmar Line) in 1950 and since 1959 owned by the Spanish shipping company Compañía Transatlántica Española as the Montserrat until broken up at Castellon in February 1973. Dimensions 439.1-455.2 x 62.1 x 34.5 feet, gross tonnage 9.000 tons, under deck 6.709 tons and net tonnage 4,758 tons. Call sign as Castel Verde ICPV.
