USA allowed to use Chilean harbors according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 29 December 1941

An item reported that the commander-in-chief of the Chilean navy confirmed the agreement with the USA allowing the use of Chilean harbours. The Chilean navy would patrol north of Valparaiso and he suggested that US shipping would hug the Chilean coast.
