Laid down by Bath Iorn Works, Bath, Maine, USA on 20 March 1934, launched on 26 March 1936, commissioned on 1 September 1936, decommissioned on 9 October 1945, stricken on 24 October 1945 and sold to be broken up on 20 December 1945.
