Brazilian passenger steam ships Bagé and Cuyabá arrived at Lisbon, Portugal in October 1942

In his letter No. 1883 dated 19 October 1942 referred the German naval attaché in Portugal to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine at Berlin to the newspapers Diario de Noticias, Seculo, Diario de Manhã, A Voz, Lisbon and Primeiro de Janeiro, Porto dated 11 October 1942 reporting that after a voyage of 24 days the Brazilian passenger steam ships Bagé and Cuyabá arrived at Lisbon, Portugal on 10 October. On board of the latter were 62 German diplomats and personnel and 9 Spanish, on board of the first 174 crewmembers of Italian ships seized by Brazilians, 27 Hungarians and 146 Portuguese. The Lloyd Brasilieiro closed her office at Lisbon and the line Brazil-Portugal ended.
