Laid down by United Engineering Co., Alameda, California, USA on 19 October 1942, launched on 3 April 1943, commissioned as Powatomi on 12 February 1944, reclassified as Fleet Ocean Tug ATF-109 on 15 May 1944, decommissioned on 28 April 1948, ,laid up in August 1961, loaned to Chile under the Militay Assistance Act, commissioned in February 1963 as Janequeo and sunk in Caleta Manquemapu 60 nautical miles south of Corral, Chile on 15 August 1965.
