Designed by British naval architect William Henry White (2 February 1845 Plymouth, England-27 February 1913, London, England), ordered by Greece and to be named Salamis, still under construction sold to Italy, laid down by Armstrong Whitworth, Elswick, England on 13 February 1885, launched on 23 December 1885, commissioned as Dogali (preceded by Etna-class succeeded by Piemonte) on 28 April 1887, sold to Uruguay in January 1908, renamed 25 de Agosto later Montevideo, commissioned on 28 April 1887, decommissioned in 1914 and sold to be broken up in 1932.
