British merchant ship Merwick Head sunk after striking a mine on 12 December 1939

Tonnage 496 tons. Part of convoy not. Loaded with coal underway from Bo’ness to London. Location coast of Norfolk. Of the crew 5 men were rescued, 6 were missing.
