Dutch cargo ship Immingham sunk after striking a mine on 10 December 1939

An item reported the possibility that the Dutch merchant ship Immingham was lost after striking a mine in the Dutch defensive minefield.(1)

1. Laid down by N.V. Scheepswerf v/h Jan Smit Czn., Alblasserdam, Netherlands with yard number 519 fo account of the Internationale Kustvaart Maatschappij N.V., manager N.V. Scheepvaart&Steenkolen Maatschappij, both at Rotterdam, Netherlands on 3 September 1935, launched on 21 November 1935, delivered on 8 January 1935 and sunk in a Dutch minefield off Callantsoog on 10 December 1939 loaded with coal underway from Goole, England towards Harlingen, Netherlands.
