Large convoy coming from Canada arrived in England in first week of December 1939

An item reported the safe arrival in British harbors that week of a large and important convoy numbering 30 ships coming from Halifax (Nova Scotia), Canada. Underway was the convoy temporarily left on the west Atlantic by her ocean escort for search German warships.
