Polish sailing vessel Kapitan Glowacki (1944) 1997-

Poland-flagged, homeport Szczecin, MMSI 261378000 and call sign SPS2477. Brigantine-rigged. Built at Swinemunder/Świnoujście, Germany in 1944 as a Kriegsfisch cutter nut not completed and the wooden hull was found after the Second World War. Conversion into a fishing vessel in 1949 failed. Converted at the Fishing Shipyard, Gdynia, Poland into a sailing ship on behalf of the National Center for Maritime Education and commissioned as the gaff ketch Henryk Rutkowski on 19 April 1951, renamed Biały Słoń during some months in 1970, after 1975 called “Rutek” and since 1997 Kapitan Glowacki.
