Duch shipping company puchased Victory ships Polydorus and Plyphemus according to the Dutch newspaper De Nederlandsche transportcourant dated 7 November 1946

An item reported that on short notice two turbine propelled Victory ships bought by the Dutch cabinet from the USA were to arrrive in the Netherlands. The Polydorus and Polyphemus were operated by the Stoomvaart Mij. Oceaan on the lines West Europe-Indonesia and Java, Indonesia-New York, USA. Cruising speed 15,5 miles.
