Japanese cargo ship Tatutake Maru or Tatsutake Maru 1939-1943

Similar Tat(s)ukami Maru and Tat(s)utake Maru. Call sign JYCN. Laid down by Mitsubishi Jukogyo K.K., Kobe, Japan on 6 April 1939, launched on 13 November 1939, completed on 29 February 1940, requisitioned by the navy on 24 November 1941, converted into an auxiliary ammunition transport between 25 November-30 December, sunk by the American submarine USS Plunger near Truk on 10 May 1943 and stricken on 15 July 1943. Gross tonnage 7,068 tons, netto tonnage 4,124 tons and as dimensions 441.5 x 58.5 x 32.8 x 10 (light)-26.9 (loaded) feet. Steam turbine propulsion, horsepower 600 nhp, oil bunker capacity 968 tons and speed 12 (normal cruising)-15 (maximum) knots. Able to mount 4-6”or 8” guns.
