Japanese passenger-cargo ship Hakozaki Maru 1939-1943

Similar Hakozaki Maru (1939) and Miyazaki Maru (1939). Built by Mitsubishi Jokoygo K.K., Kobe, Japan in 1939 and torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Herring SS-233 on the location 33.10 North and 125.00 East on 14 December 1943. Gross tonnage 3,800 tons and as dimensions 350.0 x 49.0 x 26.5 x 9 (light)-22 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, coal bunker capacity 431 tons, range 3,600 nautical miles/11 knots and speed 11 (normal cruising)-12.5 (maximum) knots.
