Portuguese ship Joã Belo with troops underway to the Azores in July 1941

In his letter No. 889 dated Lisbon 16 July 1941 reported the German naval attaché in Portugal to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine at Berlin the departure from Lisbon of the Joã Belo on 10 July with an anti aircraft battery numbering 4 guns according to one source or according to another source 1 group field artillery and a a battalion of the Infantry Regiment 14 (600 men) to the Azores.
