Laid down by Koninklijke Schelde Groep, Vlissingen, Netherlands on 8 February 1989, launched on 7 September 1991, commissioned on 15 December 1993, decommissioned in 2004, transferred to Chile and commissioned on 16 December 2005 as the Almirante Blanco Encalada.
