According to a letter dated Zagreb 4 November 1943 of the German embassy at Zagreb to the Department of an independent Croatia possessed the Royal Yugoslav Navy in 1941 the small 125 tons minelayer Malinska, sunk in the Zrmanja entrance in April 1941 and later salvaged by the Italian navy.

1. The Independent State of Croatia was established after Yugoslavia was captured by Italy and Germany on 10 April 1941. This state was first an Italian Protectorate between 1941-1943 and then a German puppet state between 1943-1945.
