Engines for French navy steam launches in 1866

The Engineer dated 8 January 1869, p.33

In the edition of 5 March 1869 was a short description of the engines which were to become the standard for the 33 feet steam launches and constructed by the engineers Claparéde and Commartin. Total weight of boiler and engine 2 tons 7 cwt. Boilers made of steel, horizontal, with cylindrical internal fire-boxes and 42 flue-tubes.
