Brazilian patrol ship Benevente (P 61) (1984) 1989-


Laid down at the yard Great Yarmouth on 16 January 1984, launched on 29 August 1984 and commissioned on 20 June 1985. Former British minesweeper of the River-class handed over on 10 July 1989 to Brazil. In 2002/2003 still in service.  Ex-Melo Baptista, ex- Blackwater (M 2013).

With a displacement of 630 -770 (full load) tons are the dimensions  42,00 (between perpendiculars)-47,60 x 10,50 x 3,10-3,75 (maximum) metres. The two Ruston diesel engines provide 2,040 bhp allowing a speed of 12 (sustained)-14 knots while during the trial the maximum speed was 15 knots. The crew numbers 30 men and the armament consisted of 1-40mm anti aircraft gun and 2x1-12,77 mm machineguns.
