Dutch corvette arrived at Toulon with survivors of the French goelette la Levrette according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 5 April 1823

Paris, 31 March. A newspaper of Lyon published a tiding of Toulon dated 25 March. According to that tiding arrived the day before a Dutch corvette coming from Minorca with on board the crew of the goelette la Levrette.(1) The latter left Toulon about two months earlier with gifts for Tangier and hit 5 March off Port Mahon a rock and broken in to two pieces. Her crew of 60 men managed through the mizzenmast they cut off to get on a rock with a surface of 15-18 foot. Standing for 22 hours in the water that came to their middle 13 sailors including an officer were killed by the cold or the sea. Thanks to their signals sighted by a vessel anchored of the coast was the port master at Mahon warned and who sent a large sloop for them. The were embarked 9 March on board of the Dutch corvette which brought them as requested by the consul home.
