Dutch whaler Vrouwe Anna Clemensia sold at Amsterdam, Netherlands on 9 October 1769

Sold on an auction 9 October 1769 in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam the whaler Vrouwe Anna Clemensia. This extra ordinary seaworthy sailing fluyt ship had as master Dirk Kim and was newly fitted out in 1761. Her dimensions were 104½ x 27’3”x 12’10”, the verdeck 6’2” and the S.8’8” Amsterdam foot. Oak-wood used. Costs ƒ 11.6000 with and adjudication of ƒ 3.500. J. de Flines on behalf of his master. Dirk was in the years 1768-1771 commandeur in the Strait Davids whale-fishery. He sailed in 1768-1769 in service of Pieter Engelen en Comp. at Amsterdam with as total results 5½ whales, 270 barrels whale-blubber and 380 quardelen train-oil. Specifed: 1768: 4 whales, 200 barrels whale-blubber and 290 quardelen train-oild and 1769: 1½ whales, 70 barrels whale-blubber and 90 quardelen train-oil.
