Persia ordered new warships in Italy according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland: staat- en letterkundig nieuwsblad evening edition dated 17 August 1929

According to the American newspaper Chicago Tribune ordered Persia the building of a destroyer in Italy. Within 5 years were five more destroyers and a cruiser to be built. Persians officers trained by the Italian navy were to command these ships.
