Building of the Dutch bark ship Jan van Hoorn at Dordrecht, Netherlands according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 23 June 1841

At Dordrecht was the same day at the yard De Merwede with success launched the bark ship Jan van Hoorn by C. Gips en Zonen. She was built for account of the company with the directors A. Blussé van Oud-Alblas, Herman van der Sande Hz., F. van Wageningen en mr. P. Blussé, destined for the Dutch East Indies trade and her master was to become J. Keeman.
