Danish warships in active service according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 23 October 1781

Copenhagen, 9 October. The most of the Danish warships which were fitted out this year have returned and disarmed. At the moment were the only active ships the Wagrien send to the Cape to wait for the expected East India Company homeward bound ships, the Groenland was guard ship at Helsingor and there were four frigates in the West Indies. The Russian frigate which recently arrived coming from St. Petersburg wass waiting for the first favourable wind to depart for Constantinople.
