Movements of French and Algerian warships in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 24 August 1827

Paris, 20 August. From Toulon came tidings dated 13 August 10.00 that a 3-master arrived which was captured by French cruisers off Algeria. She was loaded with war stores. Commanding officer was lieutenant Salvy. There were also rumours that a Algerian corvette was shot down by a British corvette. The Algerian hold up the British ship thinking she was French.
