Peruvian river gunboat Maranon (CF 14) 1950-


Ex-CF 401. Of the Maranon-class with as sister ship the Ucayali. Based at the Upper Amazon. Laid down at the yard of John I. Thornycroft, Woolston, United Kingdom in April 1950, launched on 7 March 1951 and commissioned on 3 October 1951. In 2002 still in service.

With a displacement of 350 (standard0-365 (full load) are her dimensions 47,22 x 9,75 x 1,22 metres. The armament consists of 1-76,2mm machinegun, 2x1-40mm anti aircraft guns and 2x1-20mm anti aircraft guns. Her crew numbered 40 men. The two diesel engines provided 800 bhp and her range is with a speed of 10 knots 5,000 nautical miles.
