Built in parts at the Holwaldtswerke at Kiel, Germany, shipped and assembled at Tanador, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Laid down 22 November 1972 and commissioned 7 March 1974. Based on the IK 68 design from the Ingenieurkontor of Lubeck. Displacement 1.180 tons surfaced and 1.285 tons submerged with dimensions 183’4”x 20’5”x 17’9” and a speed of 10 knots surfaced and 22 knots submerged. Her crew numbered 32 men. Was armed with 8-21” bow torpedo tubes.
