Hungarian shipbuilding program according to the Dutch newspaper Limburger koerier: provinciaal dagblad daily edition dated 8 June 1943

This newspaper published an item according to which Hungary developed a program for building seaworthy ships for the trade between the Donau ports to the rest of the world especially for the Hungary-South America. A direct line between Budapest, Hungaria and Alexandria, Egypt en other ports in the Middle East existed all ready since a long time. The Hungarian Rivier- en Zeescheepvaartmaatschappij (river and sea trade company) possessed by the outbreak of the Second World War over 6 seaworthy ships.
