The launching of the Dutch merchant dry dock Prins Hendrik at Rotterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland evening edition dated Wednesday 7 June 1933

This afternoon was at Rotterdam in the presence of many spectators the 17,000 tons Prins Hendrikdok launched at the yard of the Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij built on own account. At 15.15 o’clock arrived the Dutch crown princess Juliana at the location at the Schiehoofd at Rotterdam where mr. D.C. Endert jr, director of the company and mr. P. Drooglever Fortuyn burgomaster of the town received her. A daughter of ir. A. Knape another director of the company offered the princess flowers. Some minutes later brought a boat of the board the visitors to the yard at the Boven Heiplaat where the princess was brought to the main tribune situated before the dock/ Exactly at 15.45 o’clock baptized she the first part of the new dock and which was launched without problems. After this ceremony was a short speech held by D.C. Endert and was a gift from the Rotterdamsche Droogdok Maatschappij and the Scheepsbouwmaatschappij Nieuwe Waterweg presented to the princess.
