Laid down at the Kiangnan yard 2 May 1928 and launched 27 January 1929. With a displacement of 650 tons were her dimensions 210 (between perpendiculars)-225 (over all) x 30 x 6 (mean load). The engines and two boilers supplied 4,000 ihp allowing a speed of 18,5 knots during the trials. Her crew numbered 152 men. According to The World's Warships of Oscar Parkes [1935] just 100 men. The original planned armament consisted of 1-6"gun (placed in the forecastle), 1-4.7"gun, 3-3" anti aircraft guns and 4-6 pdrs. Later was the 6" gun replaced by a second 4.7" gun and the 6pdrs replaced by 2-3pdrs, 1-1pdr anti aircraft and 6 Maxims machineguns. According to The World's Warships of Oscar Parkes 1-4.7" gun, 3-3" anti aircraft guns and 9 machineguns.
