Dutch m.s. tanker Hilversum 1953-1967 (1974)

Call sign PERR. Owned by the N.V. Stoomvaart Maatschappij Oostzee. Launched on 14 March 1953 at the yard of Dok- en Werf Maatschappij Wilton-Fijenenoord at Schiedam with yard number 737, christened by Mrs. N. Vinke-Anderson and handed over on 23May of the same year. For 6 years chartered by the British Tanker Co. Renamed Rossum on 5 June 1959 with as call sign PHDZ. On 11 May 1965 handed over to the subsidiary Vanguard Tankers Ltd. At Monrovia, Liberia. On 14 January of the next year renamed Pistis with as call sign 6ZHU. On 13 June a year later sold to the Cia de Nav. Buenua S.A. at Panama and renamed Buena Trader. She was again sold in 1971 to the Cia. De Nav. Pohing S.A. at Panama keeping her name and two years later she became property of the Cia de Nav. Greenwood S.A. Panama which sold her in 1974 to the Huang Jung Industry Co, at Taiwan to be broken up which started on 11 April that year. With a gross tonnage of 12,112 tons and a deadweight of 17,560/17,582 tons and as dimensions 160,68 x 20,65 x 9,30 and 11,66 hold metres.. Horsepower 5,500 hp and a cruising speed of 14 knots.
