Laid down at the Verolme Shipyard, Alblasserdam, Netherlands on 16 July 1973, launched on 15 October 1974, completed at the Verolme shipyard at Rozenburg, Netherlands commissioned on 27 June 1975, decommissioned on 10 February 2012, departed towards Turkey on Friday 21 February 2014, arrived at the breaking up beach at Aliaga on 22 March 2014 and broken up by Simsekler LTD. Displacement 16.900-17.357 ton and as dimensions 1169,60 x 20.2 x 8,4 metres. Her crew numbered around 200 men. She could carry maximum 3 helicopters with her used for replenishment tasks but also reconnaissance and anti submarine warfare. The armament was originally 2-2cm Oerlikon machine guns although in the first years seldom actually fitted out with.
