German warships and officers for the navy of Venezuela according to the Dutch newspaper Tilburgsche Courant dated 22 December 1908

The press association Reuter reported from on 21 December from Berlin, Germany that according to the Berliner Zeitung am Mittag president Castro of Venezuela was negotiating with German yards for the delivery of warships to his country. For the moment he spoke over a number of 6 cruisers. Further more asked Castro the German government to send German naval officers to Venezuela.
