Swedish merchant ship Wasa wrecked according to the Dutch newspaper ‘s-Hertogenbossche Courant dated 16 May 1775

Corunha, 5 April. According to tidings was the Swedish ship Wasa master Edman nor far from Porto Farina near the remains of Itica stranded. At first it was believed that she could be saved but except for some gun powder everything seemed to be lost. She was loaded with war stores as a gift to the Bey of Tunis hoping that he would allowed that the Swedish arms might be placed for the house of the consul.
