The beginning of the Prussian navy according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 25 March 1775

According to an item dated Stettin 15 March sent the king a commission to England to buy there for his account some warships of different classes. Together with the frigates which were now being build at Stettin were these ships to found a Prussian navy.
