Hungarian patrol boats and British monitors on the Danube according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant dated Monday 18 August 1919

An item dated Budapest 17 August reported that on Friday morning 15 August some British monitors arrived at Budapest and anchored off the hotel Donaupalast coming from the South. They were accompanied by the Hungarian patrol boats Viza and Czimpo which were also British flagged. These patrol boats or gunboats had immediately disappeared towards the South after the tidings of the contra revolt of 24 July were received. The audience welcomed the crews with large enthusiasm. Both monitors and patrol boats were ordered to preserve the calmness and order on the Danube.
