Sea tidings from Batavia, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviasche koloniale courant dated 11 May 1810

The small corvette ship de Lijnx [Lynx] captain lieutenant Brouwer captured during a short fight with some pirates off Poeloe Mandalika a paduakang with on 26 pirates and which was taken into Samarang.
A cutter of the enemy [=British] captured on the 25th of April off the roads of Batavia the government galley Echo and the paduakangs Nrs. 5 en 10 loaded with coastal carriages and American stores.
The 3rd were at Rembang on a distance of 3 miles five ships sighted coming from the East going to the West which were one ships of the line, three frigates and one brig. Later were also sighted another brig, three barks and a launch, probably prizes of the mentioned warships.
