Japanese shipping company Nippon Yuesen Kaisha wanted to built 67 ships according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 2 December 1919

An item reported that the Japanese Nippon Yusen Kaisha intended to be built within five years sixty freighters and seven passenger steamships with a total tonnage of 500,000 tons.
