Sale of Dutch government vessels Vrede, Vengeur and Schildpad at Batavia, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviasche koloniale courant dated 6 July 1810

An announcement reported that on Saturday the 14^th the auction master on the naval shipyard intended to sell the pantjallang de Vrede, the galley le Vengeur, the gunboat de Schildpad, three patrol dug-out canoes (the so-called kruisprauwen) and some useless stores. The vessels were lying anchored at the east bank of the river off the shipyard and could be inspected by anyone interested.

 The edition dated 9 October 1810 again published an announcement reporting that Wednesday the24th at 09.00 o’clock at the Equipage yard in a public inscription the breaking up of the government (colonial pantjallang de Vrede, the government galley de Revencheur and the government gunboat Schildpad was held.
