Sea tidings from Batavia, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviasche koloniale courant dated 20 July 1810

An item dated Batavia 19 July reported that according to tidings received from Rembang in the evening of the 18th the launches of two British ships captured a bark off Bonang while burning a private owned paduakang and another vessel. The 10th they departed towards the West out of sight.
At Soerabaja arrived the American ship de Telegraaf [the Telegraphe] bringing with her Mr. de Veije and family, the young masters van Ysseldijk and Popkens and some other passengers.
The 13th arrived there a launch master Tjung Tjanko of Banderjermasing.
The 16th arrived the American brig Antelope coming from the Marak Bay.
The 19th departed a private owned brig towards the East.
