Huge budget for US navy needed according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 20 December 1930

An item dated Washington 19 December reported that in a non-public meeting of the navy commission of the Senate secretary of navy  Adams (1) answered that for the building of new warships etc. in the next tax 88.000.000 US dollars was needed.
