Italy seizing Austrian ships according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 26 May 1915

An item dated Berlin 26 May referred to newspapers reporting that the Italian cabinet seized seven Austrian-Hungarian steamships and took the crews prisoners. The newspaper Voss. Zeitung referred to the Italian denial during the second conference at The Hague to sign the part dealing with the treatment of hostile merchant ships when war broke out.
