American coastal minesweeper USS Industry (Amc-86) 1941-1945


Wood-built. Of the Accentor-class. Laid down at the shipyard of F.L. Fulton on 11 May 1941, launched on 6 September by Miss June Marken, commissioned on 15 December and officially decommissioned four years later on 19 December after she was sunk during a typhoon on 9 October. With a displacement of 195 tons were her dimensions 30 x 6,4 x 2,77 metres or 97 x 21 x 9.1 feet. Her speed was just 10 knots. With a crew numbered 15 men was she armed with 2-0.50” machine guns.
