German shipyards building Turkish merchant marine ships according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 18 February 1937

An item dated Istanbul 17 February reported that a consortium of German shipyards signed a contract wit the Turkish government for building ten merchant ships with as building costs 10.000.000 Turkish pounds to be paid via a clearing agreement.
