Italian Condottieri-class cruisers well performing according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1932 no. 5

An item reported that the Italian minister of navy Sirrianni (1) announced during the naval budget discussions that the Condottieri-class cruisers performed very well during the test. The Bartolomeo Colleoni (2) achieved with 66% of her total horsepower during 25 hours a speed of 33 miles.

1. Admiral Giuseppe Sirianni (18 April 1874 Genoa-16 August 1955 Genoa) who was replaced as minister by Benito Mussolini and becoming director of the Government subsidized Cogne Steel Company. He was minister between 12 September 1929 and 6 November 1933.
2. A light cruiser of the Guissano-class a subclass of the Condottieri-class. With a displacement of 6.571 (standard)-6.954 (full load) tons and as dimensions 169,3 x 15,5 x 5,3 metres or 555’5”x 50’1)’x 17’5”. Her building was ordered in 1936, she was laid down on 21 June 1928, launched on 21 December 2 years later, commissioned on 10 February 1032 and finally sunk in the battle of Cape Spada on 19 July 1940.
