An item reported that an enlarged battleship of the Japanese Katori design was to be laid at the shipyard of Vickers for Russian account. The armament (manufactured by Krupp) was to include 4-30,5cm guns, 4-25,4cm guns en 14-19cm guns in stead of 12-15,2cm guns. Fitted out with Belleville boilers was her contracted speed 18 miles. Further more was the building of a 15.000 ton armoured cruiser of the enlarged Powerful design ordered and to be delivered within 18 months. The contracted speed was 24 miles. She was to be named Rurik. Probably was a French shipyard to built 6 submarines. On 11 Augustus was the second of the four in France built destroyers launched. The third and fourth unit were to be launched in October.
