The molasses season was just begin and would last until September. The first tanker the Russian Prince already arrived with 700.000 gallons at Philadelphia. Two other the Circassian Prince and the Manerich would follow on short notice. The tankers were just half loaded due to the specific weight of the molasses. At Philadelphia was the molasses pumped out of the reservoirs and transport to the plants to extract the sugar. The breakdown product was sold abroad.
