An item referred to the magazine Proc. dated April 1939 reporting that France did not possessed any modern minesweeper. There were now 18 built with a displacement of about 630 tons fitted out with 400 hp diesel engines allowing a speed of 20 miles. The armament consisted of 2-10cm guns.
